A 1996 study suggested that L-carnitine could reduce delayed-onset muscle soreness (aka DOMS)
However, we found low heterogeneity between the five trials in all-cause mortality (I 2 = 22%) (Figure 2) and detected no heterogeneity between the two trials reporting heart failure (I 2 = 0%), unstable angina (I 2 = 0%), and myocardial reinfarction (I 2 = 0%) (Figure 3)
