Ive also been playing some aggressive decks lately and giving life to opponents is sometimes awkward
Due to this, Oath of Druids was unsurprisingly banned in Vintage, before that format became Legacy
This gives me a better chance to cast my commander and doesn't catapult the brew up out of low powered territory
If you want to talk numbers, Id say 8-10 pieces of mana ramp is a good number to aim for, but thats very arbitrary

As stated above, the Phid stands heads and shoulders above Shadowmage Infiltrator as far as power level
