I like this best in a battlecruiser-heavy meta where you know youll have lots of juicy targets

While there may be better targets to remove counters from something, like a planeswalker, you can keep your creatures safe from their untimely final demise by getting some cheap shots in on your opponents

Printing new unique Magic cards in a product line like this was seen as a cash-grab
