The mainstream spellslinger builds typically need to be red and/or black, since only those colors have access to the explosive mana rituals the deck needs

Eventually, they used the skeleton as a shield for my strongest attacks until they pulled a card to decimate my creature field, opening me up to the final blow

Four mana and two forages to get a 4/3 and a 3/3 is a good deal, a strong way to catch up or get ahead with your board presence
