I think the one thing I would've liked to see more of in the list are summon cards: if you look at our commander options, Tidus, Yuna's Guardian and Yuna, Grand Summoner, both clearly work exceptionally well with the new summon creatures like Summon: Valefor as Tidus can remove lore counters to keep them around longer and Yuna can pump up creatures when the summons die, and that's a unique new game design space that would differentiate the deck from more generic +1/+1 Counter lists out there

You can really tear up a hand in Premodern if youre on the play with black by, say, turn one Dark Ritual into Cabal Therapy, then playing a two-drop creature, say, Ravenous Rats (making them discard a card), and then flashback Cabal and sac Rats, then Unmask paying the alt cost of discarding a black card

For seven mana you get a 7/5 artifact creature that is hard to block thanks to menace and helps stabilize you with lifelink

Phyrexian Altar is the other altar responsible for most of the shenanigans in the format

It also comes with upside later on down the road: the ability to cast cards from the yard
