We knew, for flavor reasons, we had to give the card to the opponent, but we were stumped for a while about how exactly that helped you

If Drowner of Truth is countered or otherwise leaves the stack in response to that triggered ability, the triggered ability will still resolve as normal

You still see it from time to time, usually in a newer players deck, but if the right knight cards come along I could see a resurgence for this quick 1-drop
