While Jace is no longer a Phyrexian and definitely not dead , he seems to have morphed into a bit of an antagonist for other characters (at least as of Lorwyn Eclipsed )

Its about preserving the cards you love, whether theyre iconic staples, personal favorites, or quirky oddities

Also, theyre an Angel Horror, which is cool

Its really fun to try and break this wide open with fight spells and red sweepers, but my favorite place to play this is Brawl, where it dumpsters Ragavan, Nimble Pilferer decks on its own

It fits slower midrange or control builds and pairs nicely with artifact synergies like Thorough Investigation, turning Clues into both cards and combat incentives

Classic cards such as Massacre Wurm (creatures your opponents control get -2/-2 until end of turn, and then opponents lose 2 life per creature that dies) or Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite (creatures you control get +2/+2, creatures opponents control get -2/-2) often destroy aggressive decks, especially if brought into play earlier than normally expected
